Members are required to log a minimum of ten hours of community service each semester. Throughout the semester, several opportunities are available to fulfill the ten hour commitment. Some service opportunities are "ongoing," meaning that members may commit to serving with certain organizations on a regular, weekly basis. The chapter also plans numerous group service projects throughout the year and encourages members to participate in these to build fellowship while serving. Members should log their service hours after each event and are encouraged to have logged at least five hours by the midpoint of the semester. The member(s) with an exceptional number of hours will be recognized at the end of the semester.

The following is a list of service projects that Lambda Sigma members have participated in:

Brickfire Project Mentoring
Operation Shoebox
Volunteered at Rolling Hills Assisted Living Home
CAB Halloween Carnival Booth
Collected care items for Hurricane Katrine victims
Toys for Tots
Volunteered at local nursing home
